  1. I got a call for an interview last week on the CCU, but they postponed it for a couple of weeks. So there might be some delays with other new grad programs as it seems like they are going to start them later now (in February).
  2. Hm I haven't heard of that one yet, so I'm not sure what it means. From previous forums it looks like there is just application received, referred to hiring dept, and then under consideration.
  3. For which units? Did it change from to "referred to hiring department" first?
  4. I have not done an externship at UCSD. I actually went to school up in Irvine, but I'm from SD and hope to be able to find work down here. I talked to a UCSD nurse recruiter a couple of months ago and she told me they put A LOT of emphasis on what kind of unit you had your preceptorship/externship on. So if they're hiring in the NICU, and you did your preceptorship in the NICU, you'll more likely than not be pushed through to the actual hiring managers and then it's up to them if you get called for an interview. Kind of like a screening process... at least this is what I understood from our conversation. I hope that helps!
  5. Mine both say "referred to hiring department." But one has been like that for awhiiile and I know that's not a good sign...
  6. What does your status say?
  7. Under "preferred qualifications" it says BSN preferred... but not required. So I'd still definitely give it a shot!!
  8. No, I just thought because you asked about the interview that maybe you did! I know UCSD kind of takes there time and that their process takes a little longer... so I'm not losing hope yet.
  9. Did you get an interview?! :)
  10. When did you apply for the CCU and when was you interview?
  11. I applied for the PCU and IMU and both of mine say "referred to hiring department"... PCU (on 8/21) and IMU (on 8/14). Haven't heard anything as well.
  12. Thanks for directing me here gikg! :) I applied last time and had to do everything all over again as well. I'm wondering what the timeline is for when they start contacting people. From what little I have read in the other forums they're pretty speedy! Good luck to all of us... fingers and toes crossed! :)
  13. Who all applied? Let's keep each other updated on rejections/interview dates! I used to be patient at one point during this job hunting process but that has officially flown out the window! :)
  14. How long did you wait until you received a rejection email from the PCU? I'm trying to figure out the timeline as to when it would change to "under consideration."
  15. I did! I applied for Thornton IMU and Hillcrest PCU... Both say "referred to hiring department." I know that's the first step in getting an interview but what we need to see is "under consideration." At least that is what I have gathered from reading this thread. Anyone know the timeline of when the status should change?
