  1. So just a update I spoke to the nursing manager and found out she had tried to late but due to her seniority she did manage to get me in trouble. so instead of being icu certified they are leaving me in general floor care because they believe in my work but they also believe in as having her as my preceptor it hurt me because she was not even trying to train me correctely
  2. What I learned is a lot of people will stand in the door way and auto chart because out system links to the monitors and they input what is on the monitor
  3. Thats the bad thing I am on night weekends now so it very rare I see the nurse educator. And I know in my heart I did not do anything wrong of I was wrong I would admit it, but u dont need technology to get a heart rate and respiratory rate. With this I get praised by all the other rn and leads about how wonderful I am and the great job I am doing after 4 weeks. I rather not bring something up that does not need to be because its dumb stress on a unit that runs short staffed with I 5 to 7 pt per nurse because ever one has left
  4. I wonder of I have truly anything to worry about since she just keeps saying it but I have not been approached by any of the leads or the manager
  5. Now it make me fear even know I am on a different shift she is going to try to come back after me when it gets close to my 90 days. If I could remember the pt name I would go back I to the chart but for the life of me I cant remember and she had a very common last name so when you look it up you cant find her
  6. I really dont know. She only started it 2 weeks after I took care of that patient I took me forever to realize who she was talking about. She actually has harassed me to about using my own personal pulse ox on a pt because she cant see the numbers on the monitor. I had just started with this computer system so I was not even sure I just charted the heart rate. It just make me worried that I will be fired for false documentation. because their are not too many hospitals in my area so I like to keep on good terms
  7. Plus if she complains I am worried it will effect my CNA license and hurt me from getting my rn license because those are pretty big accusations
  8. Thank you for the advice I am done training with her and going on to night shift training it just the other day when I left she stated because of that pt she does not know if she can trust my charting so she cant trust me as a co worker. I have tried to explain it 100 times I am just worried about getting in trouble because I really need this job because I pay for all my classes out of pocket.
  9. I am a new nursing student who took a job as a rn student and my preceptor does not seam to like me. I was in a pt room who would not wear their leads or the o2 sensor so I counted their heart rate with the radial pulse. Now my preceptor is trying to say I falsely documented a heart rate and respiratory rate because it was not on the monitor. I dont want to get in trouble but even time she brings it up I tell her how I did it and she said ya right u falsely documented. What do I do in this situation?
  10. I have a job interview for a Contract/Temporary, Temp to Hire, On Call what does this mean and does it usually mean you work part time or full time. And is their usually a time to temp like 3weeks or 5 month usually. And do you make more as a temp worker and do u usually have set hours.
  11. snapshot my email is [email protected] if you want to email me I would appreciate talking to some one who was in the same situation.
  12. I will have to ask but the form I was given states its just a day long. I gotten messages saying its a lot like the practice/ pre test is a lot like the test you take in class is this true
  13. AHAHAHAHAH I will have to ask about this tomorrow they said it was only one day and a class of 4 not including the instructor to get it all done in that time frame test and the mega code and all the fun stuff. -_- oh what to do what to do.
  14. Oh see I was told it just a one day class offered by the hospital I work for. its 8 am to 5 pm I just I think I am more worried about passing the actual test that I am the mega code.
  15. ACLS help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just graduated in July took my test August 5th and got a hospital that I rotated at I felt so lucky to have a job so fast. But today was my first day of orientation and they told me you don't have an ACLS card we signed you up for the class on August 27th. 0.o holey tar I don't know what to do they said study this book you should be ok. I took the practice test in the provider manual and got an 86 without even looking at the book is the real test just like the one on the website of where you place the access code? Because if it is I think I might be ok I mean it's more looking for what looks right. Is there any advice that can be given? I am a very quiet person and don't speak up much or talk real loud and one of my coworkers said I would most likely do badly in the mega code because I don't "voice up" as she said. Any advice I feel like my brain is going to fall out of my head there is so much to do any I have the rest of my orientation the 21, 22,23,24,25 and the 26th of this week so it does not really give me time to study so any advice from people who have just taken it I would greatly appreciate it. .
