After stalking the forums, I promised myself I'd post my story once I passed. I'm just posting to help anyone that may be in the same situation I was in. I took the nclex-pn on February 23, 2015 at 2pm. THE COMPUTER SHUT OFF AT 86 questions, and was walking out the door at around 3pm. I WOULD HAVE BET A MILLION DOLLARS THAT I FAILED. Yall, please do not get discouraged. I did not try the Pearson Vue trick because I was so sure I had failed. My state offers the quick results, so I was just going to wait until today to pay to see my early results. YALL, I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO SLEEP AT ALL! For some reason, at 2am I decide to just type my name in my state's nurse verification sitesand THERE IT WAS!!! I am a licensed nurse!!!!!!! Praise Jesus. To study, I used the Kaplan test taking strategies book, the exam cram PRACTICE QUESTIONS BOOK, and took the online ATI practice tests over and over every two days. I studied for about 2 weeks. ThINGS TO KNOW: lab values, meds, and just remember that on the regular questions, there is only ONE correct answer- and if that's all you did, it would help....therapeutic communication, choose least invasive first. I had a TON of SATA, 2 calculations, and drugs I had never heard of.... KNOW YOUR DRUG SUFFIXES. Last but not least, I PRAYED ALOT! If yall have any questions, I'll be glad to answer.
