  1. Yes I researched schools. Even if I moved to another area they still want to know the reason for dismissal. Unsafety issues are an immediate disqualification for most schools.
  2. I talked to the Director of nursing and I feel it didn't go ok..I asked for probationary status next year.. F I felt he wasn't listening and he even rolled his eyes at some point during our conversation while I was speaking! He said it was a safety issue have I giving it to the nurse if she needed it!! He asked me if If a nurse told me to give a medication to a patient what would I have done?! I said I would decline! Then he said what if you were a licensed nurse?! I said I would still decline!! Well if a nurse ask you to hand her medication, would you have hand it to her?! I said no! Because I wouldn't have medication on me to begin with!! He said how about the IV saline flush I said yes!! He said you shot yourself on the foot! IV SAline is a medication! How unsafe is that! ... I said but I didn't know IV saline was a medication!! He said that were the problem is you lack critical thinking skills! "You could put a patient in danger"! He said he will make his decision of o could reapply next year and contact me soon after speaking with my teacher! it doesn't look good! I will not be able to qualify for any school!!what do you guys think?!
  3. Just when things couldn't get worst!! Well I was dissmissed for clinal Unsafety and banned from that school... Right so I thought that was the end! I researched schools near me and I came across the fact that some schools asks about the previous schools records! The school that is closes to where I live ( 1hours away) their policy is that if a students has been removed from the program for Unsafety issues is an automatic disqualification!!! they even require a letter from the director Of nursing to state the facts of the dismissal is is there anything I can do?! Is this even legal?! So now my chances of being accepted into a nursing program are close to zero!! My logic is that why would a nursing program accept someone who has been dissmissed from another program for safety issues to never qualify for that school ever again?, when they have hundreds of qualifying individuals?! has as anyone been in the same situation? Is my dream of being a nurse gone? Most schools inquire records from previous school.
  4. Yeah a huge set back that's how I see it as set back everybody has them! I'm already looking for schools! The closes one is 1 hr away!
  5. Yeah they accuse me of intentions of stealing it and intentions of using it with patients!! such a shame! It's a huge set back but I will make it! I have a passion for nursing I refuse to settle for anything else!
  6. I had one of those pre-filled syringes that were still wrapped. I had no idea It was considered a medication. Got kicked out to never applied to that school ever again! I had no intentions of using it. The teacher say it over And over again is not within our scope for VN STUDENTS TO ADMINISTER IV. I simply had it to help the RN I was shadowing in case she needed it kinda like to be prepare for anything you know like having scissors tape co band , alcohol wipes!! During lab on campus we practice with normal saline to clean "wounds"! Or maybe it was just a pretend Normal saline!!! lesson learned! Well the IV saline prewrapped syringes are inside a med room with password to go in students are allowe to go in there with their RN . They're right next to alcohol wipes..the other drugs are inside the med room inside a med drug box which you need a password that only RN have! I learned my lesson the hard way I left with my chin up I'll find another program I'm still young I won't give up on my dream!!
  7. I might get kicked out today for carrying IV saline with me! I didn't know it was bad one of the nurses told me w shoul always carry that with us... Along with other items! I made a stupid mistake! How bad is this mistakes you guys? I'm not sure if I would be able I reapply?! I have a meeting with the director of nursing and the teacher who saw me with it! I had zero intention of doing anything bad with it?! By the way my clinical instructor is very strict she had put me on probation for being late once last semester! honestly she even lied and said I was late 3 times before putting me on probation last semester! I was usually the last one to arrive but never late. I messed up big time!
