I'm starting a new job which includes 36 hours per week (72 hours per pay period) and 12 hours of required on call per month. For the 36 hours I'll get my base pay. For on call, I'll get $3 per hour, and if I get called in I get paid my base pay plus the $3. Now, my question is: Do the on call hours in which I am not called in count toward hours worked per pay period? Also: While on call and if I am called in for a 12 hour shift are those hours counted toward overtime? Thanks!
