Hi everyone! My name is Deniece Sanchez RN and I am currently pursuing my BSN. I need help with one of my assignments. I do not in any means, am trying to get anyone to do my homework for me. I just have a survey prepared, so I can get feedback from my fellow RNs. I would do this at work, but during shift change no one has much time to sit down and answer my questions, so I thought this seemed like a better way on gathering information for my assignment. I need 4 RN interviewees. I would greatly appreciate anyone that has the time to to complete my little survey. These questions are reared towards those that have a foundation of knowledge about professional liability insurance. 1. Do you have an individual policy? 2. What are the reasons for having or not having an individual policy? 3. Do you know what your hospital policy covers? Or if they are covered at all (especially if part time or PRN)? 4. After answering these questions above, if not covered, are you thinking about getting professional liability insurance?

Hi I'm a new nurse and have a job at a Retirement and Rehab facility, I've been working there two weeks and have only been on a certain hall for 3 days. It was my last day orienting with a nurse, and I found out I had left a PRN Norco at the bedside. When I was about to give the Narcotic the patient said they couldn't drink without a straw, so I told her I would run and get one after I gave the rest of meds for that room. When I left the room another task was brought to my attention and I got side tracked. I know it's bad to leave it and I did not mean to, I may get a write up. In my opinion I do not think it's fair that I should get a write up, maybe a talk about how we should take our meds with us out of the room until we plan on giving it, but I was thrown into a hall as a new nurse with 30 patients on my hands. Mind you I am the only nurse to a hall and these older patients can take more than a handful of medications. To top it off I was still orienting and trying not to drown. I don't know how I plan to survive.

I was a Student Ambassador, a leadership organization that got to travel to different countries and interacted with different cultures. I was part of the Student Nursing Association through my college. I worked as a cocktail waitress at an always packed bar; great with multitasking. 144 hours precepting in the ER. NIH Stroke Scale Certified. 6 years of Spanish. Licensed in Florida and California.

I'm trying to make my first resume as a nurse. The only experience I have in the medical field is through nursing school and my preceptorship. What can I put to make myself stand out as a description of my professional background.
