  1. I start working at a SNF next week, so I want to review and touch up on some of the more common things I might see at these kind of facilities. It'd be great if I could also get an idea of what kind of skills/treatments I should probably review as well. Thank yous!
  2. I found out that (at least for me): unstable patient = stress = me not happy. So I was wondering which nursing fields have the most medically stable clients? Psych, MD's office, public health, and clinics are some that come to mind... does anyone agree/disagree or have any thoughts? Thanks.
  3. Yes, I'm on contract.
  4. No, I believe its a fairly small company. I don't think they even have their own website.
  5. I got a job offer in Southern California at a flu-shot clinic for $17/hr. Granted, it's an easy job but I can't help but feel a little disrespected... To be fair, it is my first actual health-care job.
  6. Hi all, so I was recently offered a job as a flu shot RN by a company located in Torrance, CA. Basically, it's a temporary, seasonal thing with no benefits. I thought it would be a good, easy way to make a little side money. The job description includes going to flu shot clinics/fairs at random sites (which I have to drive to) around my area including schools, and apparently at places such as CVS and Walmart, so that I may administer flu vaccines. I also have to carry around my own batch of supplies (that they ship to me) to these sites including the vaccines, syringes, etc. I've never had an RN job like this, and I guess I feel a bit sketched because the whole interview process was through the phone, and when I tried to research the company I could find little to nothing about them. They never asked for proof of my RN license or a contract to sign. Please send me some thoughts, am I paranoid or is this pretty common with these types of jobs?
