DEA Registration
I have a question regarding the DEA "Federal" registration. I live on the border of a state and recently obtained a position that has an office on the bordering state as well. I realize I need to have a state NP license for both states but heard that I also need to apply for a DEA registration for each office as well because its another state. Is this true? If so, then it really isn't a "federal" registration is it? Seems like a way to get more $$ Thanks in advance.

RN backed into a career corner, would like to get into Critical Care
I am a RN, BSN that has been working in research for 8 years now. I had minimal hospital exposure prior to this job. I would like to get into critical care but there's no hospital in my area (southern New England) that offers a preceptorship into the specialty. They tell me I need to do med/surg first. I experienced enough med/surg to know I don't really care for it. Here's another thing..my friends who are hospital nurses tell me not to do it! That I have a good thing now (mon-fri, no holidays/weekends, decent $). and should stick with it. But I'm bored & unchallenged & feel I've limited myself to this one career. ADVICE PLEASE!!!!

OR or Critical care? Most/better options
I need some career opinions. I am a RN, BSN looking to change from a physician office back into the hospitals for more options/flexibility. I can't decide on OR or critical care. There's a tech school nearby that will offer a RN periop program for around $3000.00 in May. I can't decide whether to take it or not or just go into critical care. Basically I'm looking for something interesting with plenty of options and a decent salary. I'm leaning towards relocating down the line and travel nursing has my attention as well. Please share some opinions as this decision is driving me crazy! I'm interested in OR nursing however I'm also interested in the ED. HELLLP!!!!!! Thank you in advance.
