Hello, I'm new to this site my name is Dylan and I plan on being a LPN. I'm 20 years old and decided I wanted to be a nurse when I was 18 years old. I wasn't able to get into nursing right after high school. So i actually went to school for business for a year until I realized how much I hated business and wanted to pursue a career in nursing. Throughout high school I dealt with my grandmother who was placed in a nursing home with alzheimers right near my house. I was there every other day after school with her and some other elder folks. I wasn't excepted to nursing until this year actually after I upgraded my chemistry. I'm going to school come January and in the meantime I'm working and saving money to out towards school. This is what I want to do for the rest of my life I want to be able to help people and make a difference in their day. I'm currently putting myself in a financial situation in which I can move out on my own for school and what not. I'm looking forward to it and I'm going to give it everything I have physically, mentally and emotionally. So my question to you is what should I expect first semester. I have been out of school for two years, disregard my business course lol. What should I expect first year where should my knowledge be and what could I spend the next few months reading to help myself put come January. Please don't mind any spelling issues or grammar I wrote this on my phone. I'm looking forward to hearing back from this community and I appreciate any feedback. Thank you! :)
