  1. What is the typical path from CNA to LPN/LVN?

    :) Hello everyone, This is my first post to the forum. I recently completed my CNA training and passed the state (Texas) certification. I am currently looking for work in the Dallas area. What I would like to know is if there are hospitals or LTC facilities that offer or sponsor LPN/LVN training to CNA's that work for them? I am sorry if someone has previously addressed this. If so, could someone point me in the right direction? Also, does anyone know the cost for LVN/LPN training if you have to foot the bill yourself? I figured that since there is a shortage of nurses (correct?), many facilities would be eager to provide or sponsor the training since it would be beneficial to both parties.
