  1. Forgot to mention you only get 1 additional ticket per offer. So total of 8 max
  2. Hi. You get 6 guaranteed tickets, just make sure not to miss the deadline. I graduate this fall and unfortunately, I missed the deadline so now I'm begging people for tickets
  3. Awesome, it assures me that it is possible to work on weekend nights. Thanks!
  4. You can take the HPRS classes in a flex term, they are both easy. You may also try taking Technical Writting, nutrition, speech, and government. They sound hard, but when I took them they were pretty easy and were not time demanding at all.
  5. Flex classes will count as long as they are done before January 31st which is the last day to submit applications. Normally, January classes start the 2nd and end on the 30th or 31st. Anything taken after the deadline will no longer count. Hope this helps.
  6. Spring 2015 cut off was 27 points. Therefore, I think people who have 27 and up stand a good chance. However, I would take winter and January flex term classes (Technical Writing and maybe arts) those classes are pretty easy and it will give you 2 extra points to apply with.
  7. Thanks for the info. I actually called the Methodist program and asked them what are hours would be and they confirmed that we have lecture on Tuesdays, Wed is clinicals and Thursday is skills. Is there no school on Mondays and Fridays at all?
  8. I know! I'm just ready to get started I do have 3 daughters, I need the money, but I'm also willing to sacrifice for two years if that's what it takes it will at be worth it in the end
  9. Thanks for the input. However, I was wondering if its possible to work full time? I'm pretty worried because I have to start looking for a new job soon, but I'm hoping I can continue to work full time if possible. What are you thoughts? Do you know of anyone that is currently going to school and working full time?
  10. Congratulations! Which hospital do you work with? I was also accepted for the partnership program with Methodist Hospital. How many points did you get in with?
  11. I would definitely call the Dean tomorrow morning. Also, make sure to contact Sentry to see if everything was clear...Good Luck and keeping my fingers crossed for you. Don't give up!!!
  12. Congratulations!
  13. I called El Centro and they just confirmed that notification letters were sent this morning. Good luck everyone!!!!!!!!
  14. Thanks everyone! Good luck to you guys!
  15. Thanks! I hope everyone on this thread gets accepted. We have created a "nursing student bond". This is where I found out about point changes, Sentry applications new deadlines and all. I wish you all guys the best of luck.
  16. Just wanted to share my news! I got a call yesterday from El Centro/Methodist nursing program and was told my sister and I have both been accepted for the Spring semester. This was our first choice, therefore, we will be declining our spots if we do get accepted to the traditional El Centro's ADN program. . GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!! WEDNESDAY IS ALMOST HERE!!! STAY POSITIVE!!!
  17. Good Luck. One more week! I hope we all get the news we want to hear :)
  18. I'm sure you will get in with 31 points :) i'm only applying with 27 points, but I thought it was worth the shot anyways. Getting closer. I hope we can all get in and finally start our new journeys. Good luck to everyone!
  19. I know... I wish I could fast forward time. lol! How many points did you apply with?
  20. Notification letters go out October 15th. Therefore, we have no choice, but to continue to wait until then. Good Luck!
  21. nursegirl1d, I was also denied for the Methodist Fall 2014 program. I met with Kimberly and she told me that the main reason I was denied was because I did not have a lot of supporting classes which is the same as not having enough points. I applied with 25 and I knew that was not enough, but I decided to still give it a try. It is a little harder to get into this program because there's only 10 spots available and since its a free nursing school. They received tons of applications. I have also heard from several students who got accepted that they had more than 30 points. Some had 33 other were around 31. I re-submited my application for Spring with 27pts, therefore, I'm anxious to know if I'm in or not. Don't give up, just keep trying! You're almost there!
  22. Awesome! Congrats and good luck. By the way you gave me some hope since I'll be only applying with 27 pts. Congrats again!
  23. Congratulations! How many points did you apply with? If you don't mind sharing.
  24. Usually when you are younger, but they can always check for immunity with titers. If you show that you're not immune then you'll have to get your hep B injections. Although, I think you will be okay as long as you get the first dose and have all three injections completed before you start clinicals.
  25. Blood work results usually take 2-3 business days. The sooner you do it the better.
