  1. Gizelle, You should complete anything that is required of you within 45 days. If you have a hard time meeting any of the requirements, contact your probation monitor at the board of nursing and let them know. I'm not sure what the terms of your agreement are but it is important to meet all requirements that are asked of you from the board. They should've mailed you a list of things to be completed. I hope this helps. Let me know if there is any other question I can answer for you.
  2. @lolomanoto thank you for the update!! Still haven't heard anything.. Anyone else hear any news? Wishing you all good luck :)
  3. I haven't heard anything from them.. crossing my fingers!
  4. Hey guys! I'm still waiting on the next step.. Any luck with you guys? Let me know :)
  5. So far I've only received an email from them asking for additional documents.. Turned them in Wednesday night... Still waiting..
  6. Hi guys! Just wondering if any of you have been contacted by Hollywood Pres to go on an interview? I sent in everything they required via email but still no word from them. Please let me know if any of you have gotten a call for an interview and how that went. Thanks!!
  7. BTW guys, I'm in the state of California.. I read that etg testing can last up to 80 hours, but then I came across reviews of the test and some people were saying that they had drank 2 nights before and passed the test. Regardless, at this point its been 72 hours for me and I have no probs never drinking again. I think I should be fine. Thanks for the replys!! :)
  8. Hi fellow nurses! So I just got my RN license a week ago, and soon after my probation packet came. I'm supposed to go in for my first random drug and alcohol testing, and I'm wondering if any of you know what kind of test the BON uses to detect alcohol. I'm a bit worried about this because I had a few drinks a couple days ago, and then came home to my probation packet which stated I needed to go in for a drug test. If any of you have ever been tested for alcohol by the BON, please let me know what thats like and what kind of test they are doing. Thanks all, I really appreciate it!!!
  9. Hi everyone, I am a soon to be registered nurse with a probationary license and am wondering if any nurses with probationary licenses have been successful in finding jobs? If so, what kind of employment did you find and how did you go about tell your employer that your license was on probation? I've been waiting a year now for my license and am excited to be able to start applying to RN jobs but the thought of my probationary license holding me back is heavy on my heart. Any advice or personal experiences shared is greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!
  10. I think it may be too late for me as I've already signed a stipulated agreement and am waiting for the BRN to approve.. Thanks for the reply tho!
  11. sunflw37 and lysosome - have you guys heard back from the BON regarding approval of your stipulated agreement? I'm still waiting for mine and am wondering how long it took you guys. Plz let me know! I can't take the wait any longer!
  12. Hi guys! In a nutshell, I graduated from nursing school last year in June and was denied my license for a DUI I had in 2008. I appealed the denial in July and finally after many months signed a stipulated agreement in January 2014. I am now waiting on the board to approve my stipulated agreement. Im just wondering if any of you know how long it takes for the board to approve the signed stipulated agreement? Also, how has it been finding a job?? I still have hopes of getting into a new grad program, hopefully they'll move fast enough to where I still qualify as a new grad.. This has been a never ending experience and I just want to get it over with.. Any advice is much appreciated. Thnx.
  13. What were you convictions? If you don't mind sharing.. I had a misdemeanor DUI in 2008 which has been expunged and I really feel as though they're treating it like an extreme felony.
  14. I had a DUI in 2008 and I'm still waiting for my license.. I graduated in June and was denied by the board for licensing in July. They allowed me to take the NCELX but they will not give me my results until everything is said and done. Furthermore, I have signed a stipulated agreement which basically puts me on probation for 3 years.. Just expect to wait a while as they're not very speedy in ANYTHING they do at the BRN. Stay positive, and don't let anything that might happen get to you. Wish you the best.
  15. Expect to be denied and have to appeal it.. I'm going through that now. Major pain in the ass -__-

  18. Hi guys! In a nutshell, I graduated last year in June and shortly after was denied for my RN license. I appealed the denial in July and finally got a stipulated agreement in January 2014 and sent it back. Now I'm just waiting for the board to approve the agreement.. I'm wondering if any of you know how long the approval from the board takes? It seems like this all never ending and I'd really like to get on with my life.
  19. Sunflw37 I know its been a while since you posted here but I am currently in the exact same situation.. I took NCLEX, stopped at 76 questions and got a good pop up. I'm wondering if that good pop was in fact "good" for you?.. I'm really freaked out and don't know what to make of it. Let me know how your situation went please. Thanks!
  20. so would this also mean i would have to get 30 incorrect to fail, or would the computer still give me an opportunity to pass?
  21. Hey guys, IM FREAKING OUT!!! I just took my nclex exam today and I really don't know how to feel about it. The computer stopped at 76 and I've been losing my mind all day going over the questions in my head. I know for a fact that I got some wrong, but I also know I got some right. Some I even had narrow down and guess my answer. I believe I got the last question right, but I'm not even sure if it matters? Does anyone know what the likelihood of passing at 76 questions is? Any input would really help. Thanks!
