  1. Couldn't agree with you more Arrisub. Whoa! Good luck on your results or do you have it already? Have you tried the famous pearsonvue trick?
  2. I had my NCLEX exam July 31, 2013. Based on my experience, here are the tips that I can give to the would-be NCLEX takers. Secure and schedule appointment ASAP. I didn't and believe me, the thought that I wouldn't be able take NCLEX only because there are no available dates was more nerve-wrecking than taking the exam itself. *for me at least* To decrease level of anxiety, keep this in mind: NCLEX IS FOR ENTRY-LEVEL NURSES. Heard this from Feuer and it really calmed me down, I've only experienced anxiety during the exam day itself, one to two days before, I was perfectly relaxed. NCLEX is super basic. I just kept thinking to myself, NCLEX just want to know if I'm a safe nurse and I know I am! BE YOURSELF when you STUDY. If you're a crammer (like me, who only studied seriously 2 weeks before the exam), then stay that way. If you don't feel like studying, stop forcing yourself because you wouldn't be able to understand anything you read and you'll just be giving yourself unnecessary stress. If you're more comfortable studying 6-12 months before taking the exam, then that's fine also. As long as you be yourself. It's a matter of nursing principles. What I meant with this is that you just understand the essentials and you'll never be lost. For example, in Psych Nursing, you just need to know that safety is almost always the number one priority. If you're given an item that is seems to be not safe for the patient or those around him, then don't consider that as a NCLEX choice. In ICU Nursing, one principle is patient first before equipment. Have I made a point? I hope I did. No way around it, MEMORIZE THE LABS. This will really help a great deal. I can assure you that you will almost surely encounter a problem that you will somehow know nothing about and the only thing that can save you would be the lab results being given. Don't over-analyze. What info given on the question is the only info that you should consider. Don't visualize something like "Oh, she feel so she must have a fracture." IF it wasn't stated that there was a fracture, then don't think there is. Well, I guess that's that. Thank you for reading and good luck with your own NCLEX. Remember: God has His own perfect timing.
  3. Just finished taking NCLEX. Computer shut down at 75. Whew. Thanks again for the well-wishers.
  4. Hey guys! Thanks so much for all the info's. Good news... I've checked every hour and finally the date July 31 came up to be available. Also since I've had problem calling the Asia Pacific region number they've provided, I've tried calling the American region number instead and I got thru the first call. So now I'll be taking my exam 2 days from now. God bless to all who will be taking the NCLEX exam in the near future. Go nurses! ^_^ Anyways...someone sent me a PM and when I've tried to answer I couldn't since the site informed me that there's a policy that I need to make about 15 comments before I am able to send PM's also. But I do hope that person can read this so that he won't think I ignored his message. Also, I dunno if this is a prob or not...But the call center agent that I've talked to so to schedule my exam entered the wrong NAME AND ADDRESS on the credit card info I've provided...as I have seen on the receipt via email. It is confirmed that I'll be taking the exam this July 31, I saw it on my pearson vue account but I worry that I may be taking somebody else's money.
  5. I cannot schedule online since I'll be taking NCLEX at international testing center. I am instructed to call the given phone number.
  6. Just like some of you said, there are new dates that opened just now ready for the taking. But now I can't place a call to pearson vue to schedule my exam. Kept getting a busy signal. Anyone experience this kind of problem?
  7. Don't know about everyone but I'd like to inform you that you certainly made me happy. Good luck with your career. Ok, I'll give updates if I somehow manage to solve this problem of mine. Thanks again!
  8. Thanks a lot, buddy. I'll be doing what you suggested. You're comment helped a lot in calming down my nerves. Hey you should try Mental Health Nursing as a profession.
  9. I did planned ahead...but not early enough. Was still saving some money since international test takers are required to pay $150 fee for scheduling. Guess it was my fault for not being rich enough. I've payed so much already just to take this exam.
  10. Thanks EmeraldStar, I really appreciate what you said. I've checked it last week but since I don't have the necessary means to pay for the $150 fee I wasn't able to schedule. Not everyone here have the money, you guys. We get by with what we can.
  11. OMGosh... I've tried to look for other testing centers that are near my location. I've looked at about 5 of them but I was not able to see any that have the available dates that I needed. I was not informed that this could happen, isn't this pearsonvue's problem? Can't they rectify it? I mean c'mon, why give you the EXPIRY DATE when you can't even take the exam BEFORE that date expires?!? This is so unfair. I'm pretty upset.
  12. Okay, I am totally freaking out here. My ATT will expire on Aug. 5, 2013. I am planning to schedule now via telephone but I've tried checking out at pearsonvue.com to see what dates they have available and I can only see there Aug 19 as an available date. I'm very scared right now that if I place a call to schedule they will tell me I cannot take anymore because they are no available dates. Anyone here that can assure me that I don't have to worry?
