  1. Hi there! I definitely recommend applying to both the LVN and ADN program. I was accepted into both programs for this year. My advice is to do well on your hesi, try for an 89 and up. Luckily you "only" have to do 3 sections (Math, Reading, Vocab.) I used this book that you can buy from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Admission-Assessment-Exam-Review-3e/dp/1455703338/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1408645510&sr=8-1&keywords=hesi I personally wouldn't take ApII first without the first course because in my class, APII referred alot back to API. That is just me though, you might be ok. To be competitive, I recommend having all of your pre-req courses AND co-requs completed by the time you apply. You will score higher points having those done. They have changed the degree plan this year, so keep an eye on that for a change of classes. One thing that really helped me was attending the information sessions they have I believe the first Tuesday of the month but double check that. It is a competitive program, but just do well in your classes and score high on the HESI. The LVN is based more on your HESI and the ADN seems to go off your GPA more. I hope some of that helps!
  2. Congrats on everyone's acceptance!
  3. Congrats to everyone! I can't wait to meet y'all hopefully at orientation.
  4. Wow, sorry about not getting in this year. That is crazy they took those 2 courses out of the degree plan
  5. What? You got an email already??? I thought TC was closed today. I didn't get an email yet
  6. "Letters should go out around May 28. Our plan is to mail accept letters in the regular mail, regrets/alternate/low gpa letters will go out in that same time frame but to the TC email accounts. " I can't say staff names on here, but that is what she told me.
  7. I talked to someone last week who told me it will be the 28th
  8. I am just going to work Fridays (maybe) and occasional Saturdays. I am going to take the first 2 weeks off of work though to get into the swing of things.
  9. I took a picture of my blue card on my phone just in case. Sorry your having to get another one.
  10. Hi Melissa! What was the average Hesi score and the lowest when you were accepted?
  11. I can't believe how many people are putting in their applications in just 2 days. I want to stay positive, but I know i will probably not get in. It seems like they just want people with 90's on their HESI. My friend got an 83 on her hesi and they said she will get NO points for that. I don't get it :/
  12. 161? Wow, not many people this year, that's good news!!
  13. I wonder how many people have applied to the adn program? I know several people that could not apply because they made C's on their HESI. My friend applied last week and they only have about 100 applicants
  14. Hey Shannon! I am also waiting to hear from the adn program. Do you think they will let us know earlier since the LVN starts a week after adn letters go out? I am so nervous.
  15. I have a bad feeling that I threw away the blue card in the mail...hopefully it wasn't stuck in a newspaper or something.
  16. Cocoa-did you get the info yet from lvn director? April 9th at 3pm in rm 113 is the orientation...I wonder when they are going to tell everyone or if they forgot.
  17. How long does the BON usually take?I know my record is 100 % clear and it has been over 2 weeks since the fingerprinting.
  18. I own a home in hutto so I am not sure of options out there. Have you tried talking to anyone at Taylor ?
  19. Congrats Summer, that is such good news!!!! Jordan, from what I hear, lots of alternates get in!
  20. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know yall will get in
  21. There was a space on the application where they check off VN program, it almost looked like I would get a point for acceptance to the vn program
  22. Summer-Do you by chance know anyone that is in the RN program and what their HESI scores were?
  23. It would be at Temple
  24. I went and applied to the adn program this morning. I was application number 59. It looks like they will be sending out letters through email. She said they communicate that way so we will see. Cocoacouture, they gave me my physical form, orientation, and background check when I went to the campus.
  25. I had to go in because I never got my letter in the mail. The director emailed me wondering if I got my acceptance letter. I had to go to the campus to pick up the letter and they gave me everything to complete, I guess the Taylor campus does things differently.
