Is is worth applying for Fall 2013 now?
I am in the exact same situation too! I applied in Feb, got waitlisted, and was just offered a spot a few days ago! I'm still debating between MacEwan and UofA though!

University of Alberta Vs. Grant MacEwan
That's what my parents keep telling me to, haha! They keep saying "Whats more important, a nicer campus or a better program??". I know deep down that GMU would be best for me. Thanks for the comment :) I appreciate all of the information!

Yes, the Robbins Health Centre is very nice..I just got very attached to the UofA. So it was pretty disappointing for me to hear so many negative comments about the program. I'm glad that I know now though, so I can avoid it. Yeah, I graduated a few years ago and have just been taking time off to work/upgrade my high school marks a bit. I have no post secondary experience. I guess that means I'll probably have to do all 5 courses. Thanks for the link! Wow, people seem to hate that CBL.

Thank you for the input, I think I've decided on Grant Mac, I dont want to deal with CBL. I'm definitely grieving about not having the experience of the UofA campus and beautiful ECHA building though. I read on one of your other comments that you were only taking 3 courses per term rather than 5. Would you be able to give me some information about how to go about doing that? Will it take you longer to complete the program this way? I thought you had to choose a pattern and could not alter it.

Thanks so much for the reply!! I'm really starting to consider Grant MacEwan, have to make a fast decision though! I'm definitely not liking the sound of the CBL UofA has. Do you have any idea of which program is more difficult? Does your friend seem think UofA is more difficult and time consuming? Thanks so much! :)

University of Alberta Vs. Grant MacEwan
Hello Everyone! This is my first post and i'm hoping someone can help me. I was accepted into the Nursing program at the University of Alberta in April! I've been preparing to start school at UofA in September. Then a few days ago I just got a call from Grant MacEwan University telling me that they have a spot available for me! I have no idea which school to choose! I have always thought that UofA had a wonderful nursing program, however now I'm reading that Grant Mac students have better clinical skills and that it's a better program. I only have a few days to make my up my mind. I'd still really like to go to UofA since i'm already registered in all of my classes there. Does anyone have any insight on which program is better? Anyone have a positive experience at UofA or is Grant Mac the way to go? Thanks so much for your help!
