  1. Hello fellow nurses. I am needing some advice. I am currently a registered nurse in the state of Kentucky. I have been working here for about a year and a half and received my nursing license in May of 2012. I had some issues in the past with the law. Not too severe like drugs, etc. and not a felony. To get my Kentucky nursing license, I had to go through quite a bit to get approved to practice in the state of Kentucky. But, in the end I was approved by the Kentucky Board of Nursing to practice with no restrictions. I have recently applied to the Florida Board of Nursing and have submitted all of the court documents and required paperwork. They are requesting to meet with me on February 4th in Kissimmee. The letter stated that I did not have to attend but they did encourage your attendance. I was just wondering if any other nurses have had to do this and if so what should I expect. I am praying that I am approved as me and my husband are needing to move to Florida to help care for his mother who is dying of cancer. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
