Hi, this is my first time posting on this website so forgive me if I may have posted this in the wrong place. I was recently accepted into the clinical portion of the nursing program at kingsbough community college for fall 2013. I was naturally very excited to finally get my nursing career going. However, I have recently heard rumors that the school is having issues with accreditation for the nursing program. I went and talked to the department and was told that the school had lost accreditation by the NLNAC but still have state accreditation. I was given a short answer and sent on my way. Me being a new student, I do not have much knowledge on nlnac accreditation and how it can potentially effect my job hunting after I finish the clinical. I've heard I would have trouble finding a job in a different state if the school does not have nlnac accreditation. Now I'm stuck between deciding to continue on with the clinical or transferring to a different college. If anyone has information on the topic and can help me on this asap it would be greatly appreciated as I am very worried about what to do next in a short window of time. Thank you
