  1. Hello! I was hoping to get some advice. I am looking for online MSN programs in leadership, and have been looking at WGU's program because of the convenience of it and the affordability of it. Has anyone gone thru this program and have any information about it? However, for MSN degrees, do people look at where you got your degree from while getting hired? Or, should I look at MSN programs more well known? I'm also possibly looking at an MSN/MBA program, but not sure how beneficial it would actually be. Thanks!

  3. Thank you for your advice FragOut!!
  4. Thank you so much!
  5. I just graduated with my BSN and will be taking the NCLEX next month. I am already looking at job applications and where to apply. I was hoping to get some information; One of the areas I am interested in is the operating room, but what I've seen is that they all require OR experience. I am in the Los Angeles area, and was hoping to get insight on how to begin a career in the operating room. Thank you!!
  6. I am about to graduate with my BSN and RN. I have had some interest in Air Force nursing, but would like some more information. I have talked to a recruiter at a job fair, but would like other opinions. Has anyone been in the Air Force as an officer for nursing, or in the Air Force Reserve? I don't know anyone and haven't found a lot of information about the Air Force Reserve in relation to nursing. Any information would be useful- such as the time commitment, locations available, what your job was like, day to day, pay, etc. Thank you!
  7. I have asked my previous professor if she would be willing to write a letter of recommendation for me. She agreed, and her terms for all students are that they have to write their own letter and she will go over it and make any needed changes. Its difficult to think of what I would like in my recommendation letter. Highlighting strengths and qualities of what would make me a great nurse is hard, especially because I am so critical of myself and just see what I need improvements on. Any help or recommendations would be great! What would you write in your own letter of recommendation?
  8. Thank you so much! This is very helpful. I will look into Make-A-Wish and other such programs right now. That thought didn't even cross my mind. I had looked into volunteering for hospitals but they require minimum hours per week and I don't know what my schedule will always be like. Thanks again!
  9. I am currently a nursing student and will be starting my core nursing classes in two weeks. I would like to specialize in pediatric oncology and any help or advice to get there would be great. Is there anything I can do so I have a better chance of getting even an oncology job after I graduate? I feel I am in the middle of my class so my grades are average, compared to everyone else. I was even thinking of working as a CNA while I am in school if I can handle it. Has anyone done this before?
  10. I am also starting in Anaheim in August. My first classes that I am taking are anatomy and critical reasoning. However I am transferring credits over, so I don't know what the normal beginning classes are.
