  1. I just talked to *** at the university LPN-BSN program and he advised me to go to my local community college to get the pre-req's done and have them transferred. He said the programs that are also offered are ok but you don't get a grade you get credit so it doesn't give you a gpa. He didn't seem like he was a fan of them at all and pretty much dismissed it. I'm now trying to find a school that offers the pre-reqs that will transfer correctly...I'd love to find an online school that does. If I can't I probably won't go this route and just wait until I can do the traditional program at my community college.
  2. I was told by our career services adviser that the wages for an office job are 14-16. I kind of feel like I'd be an MA with an LPN education... Maybe I should just pass on this job, but I'm so hesitant to do that since I just graduated!!
  3. I have an interview in a few days with a physician's office for an LPN position. I'm a recent graduate with no prior experience. I was asked what pay I was expecting and her response to what I said was that I was expecting too much just having graduated and to get that I'd need to go to a hospital or LTC. I had said 14-16, 14 being the lowest. Is that out of line for me to think I should get that?? I'm having a hard time finding average hourly wage for LPN's in the VA beach area for a physician office. I'm also not sure how low I should go when/if accepting this job. Please help!!
