  1. Yes I took the hirevue interview.
  2. Of course not, I know a guy who graduated with 3.5+ and he partied and fooled around throughout school. In class, I saw him playing video games half the time. It really depends on how fast you can understand and memorize - this guy could memorize the book right before the tests so he got away with playing the rest of the time.
  3. Not bad - I dont mind 3x12s - more flexibility in scheduling. I hope we can get nights too.
  4. Do you think they might extend it? Its a huge task to educate 550+ nurses plus other staff.
  5. You should prob call then.... we got like three welcome emails.
  6. You didn't receive a welcome email?
  7. yeah u have like 3 more emails to go
  8. one here - were already doing the paperwork it starts monday!
  9. Really they said scrubs? Hmm weird cuz every other hospital I've been to and worked on projects at we wore business casual with/out lab coats.
  10. Oh I think we're gonna wear like business casual - they can't have people mistaking us for clinical nurses. I've seen superusers before and they all just wore business casual.
  11. Yep - haha or we would be working already!
  12. MSN here also.... Im excites about it too but wish we were guaranteed spots...
  13. Me too. Were co-workers.
  14. No onco but high gpa plus msn plus she's well spoken. Not internal.
  15. My friend got into new grad
  16. Some person got a welcome email with the background check and requirements info so I think its official.
  17. I don't think the 58 number will change even if it is on Indeed. I know that hospitals are required to post online though so they might just be doing it for legal reasons.
  18. It is a paid position but its not considered RN work. The pay is about the average for a new grad but still.needs to be finalized.
  19. oh the interviewers told the people who interviewed that 25 out of 58 superusers willbe interviewed and hired for a new wing theyre opening - they wont accept externals so you can see how good this opportunity is.
  20. 43% is much higher than applying to another new grad program and SD is nearly impossible to get a job at...... Yes you dont want to spend 5-6 hours in traffic! Consider also the wear and tear on your car and the possibility of an accident - my friend commuted from SD to north OC for nursing school and got only 3-4 hours of sleep and eventually totalled her car....
  21. Do it for the experience, high chance of getting into the new grad program, and the possibility of even having an extension of the superuser position. LA has a much much better job markeT than SD so you might really consider finding some short term housing with some college students and just keep applying with that address.....
  22. Oh yeah one of my friends is me.
  23. Yeah my friend texted me but my other friend said she hasn't received a call.
