Where are you moving to? I worked in melbourne through an agency but they have since lost contracts with the public hospitals, I'm in darwin now and working with medoserve, great agency!

I took time out last year spent 6 months travelling New Zealand, my biggest regret was not sorting y registration out before hand as I have had to come home and do tht, save some cash and I'm about to leave again! Feel I've done my career no good! I took a sebatical from my work, was great because I just came home straight to a job! I know other ppl that have then struggled to get a job after leaving! Good luck with it! I'm off to australia to work, didn't enjoy New Zealand! x

NZ has a seperate nursing board therefore it is another application and currently you have to sit an English test and jump through so many hoops to get on the nz nursing council!!!! It is alot more expensive and more hassle thn getting on AHPRA!!!! And to be honest it's not even worth looking at New Zealand!!! Less pay!!

I have ward about the gloves, that worries me!! Where had you worked peviousley? I've alway mixed my own IVABS And you haven't showered people!!! I can't believe what I'm reading! Basic nursing care is personal care and ADLS why would you want to help your patients with hygiene needs....TIME MANAGEMENT!!!! I'm looking forward to getting started now, sounds just like where I work just now!!!

Hey, So glad to hear about HCA!! I'm dealing with austra health right now coz they are able to supply work in Melbourne where I want to live!!! I have read on other threads that once your in a job in oz it seems alot easier to get another job, one on the hospitals Etc!! GOOD LUCK everyone!! I'm moving out in October!!! xxxx

Hey, Hoping to get out to oz end of year I have my registration and visa, just saving my pennies! So far I have had feedback from healthcare Australia and austra health!! Does anyone have any experience of these agencies??? Thanks xxx
