  1. Sorry for the late reply. The Orientation will start at 8:00 am and last until 5 pm. Long day.
  2. Just got an e-mail about doing the background checks and that the orientation date is August 12th. I heard that this is when people meet, look for roommates, and such. Hope this helps.
  3. Thanks! I figured out why it's so long. The first semester is pretty much another round of general ed requirements. If not for them the whole program would be around 18-19 months.
  4. I just got my letter too! I'm going for it but I've got lots of questions about the whole finance/cost of doing the program. I would also like to join the facebook group.
  5. Hey! I actually just got a conditional acceptance e-mail for the Fall 2013 cohort and I was wondering how the housing prices and everything are. Any suggestions? Since working will probably be spotty at best, I'm still trying to figure out the whole financial aid bit so cost is the main factor for me. I'm not too worried about comfort, I've survived army barracks and tiny apartments of Japan. Thanks!
  6. Hey everyone, Just wanted some advise. I've got a Bachelor's degree in psych and I decided that I would use that towards getting my BSN. Everyone pretty much told me that I should do an accelerated course so I applied to a few different schools and I was just accepted into the San Marcos-24 month program. So I have a few questions: 1) Has anyone done or heard of the program? 24 months doesn't seem very accelerated; am I wrong? Is it a good program to get into or should I try for a different one? 2) I'm told that it is expensive and that I won't be able to work very much. Previously, the military paid for my school expenses so I have little idea about what other options are open to me. I've applied for FAFSA and did qualify for the $12,500.00 but that only gets me part of the way there. What are some other examples/options available for me to help pay? Any information would be great. Thanks!
