Hello everyone, browsed through this entire form and want to say congratulation to everyone who made the August intake! The waiting seemed extremely brutal. I want to apply into the January 2015 Intake and was hoping for some insight on how to make my application stronger because I know my application won’t be strong enough at all for the August 2014 intake. Right now I would be going in with •Nursing Unit Assistant Certificate to be completed 2014- 24 Credits •Medical Terminology I & II 2012 - 5 Credits •Three first year classes 2011– 9 Credits English, Business Math and Psychology •Three years Hospital and Mental Residence Volunteer work •Previous unrelated work experience in Customer Service Atmosphere Won’t know if all credits are transferable but hoping for the best. First year college was a bad time. Went back and checked my GPA and it was around 2. After restarting school after over a year off, my cut off is 80% anything under is a fail so my GPA at this point is a solid 4.0 with half my Unit Assistant program to go. Called up BCIT today and am planning to add English through my college as it transfers’ over as English 1177 and I plan to challenge the Anatomy and Physiology Exam in September. My real question here is, what courses do you recommend to take in September other than the requirements? Is it a good idea to take LIBS 7001+7002? What were the other 2 electives others took? Any and all feed back would be wonderful. Thank you and Congratulations again!
