Lapsed License, Relocated Abroad
Thank you for your information. I quit my job about 6 months ago and before I left the states I did a big mistake forgetting to place my license into inactive status. I am not the citizen of US and therefore there is absolutely no way for me to keep it active at all by the time I left the US (my working visa is expiring). I do understand the nursing board is protecting its patients. I just wish I can get back to nursing and keep serving

Lapsed License, Relocated Abroad
I am a RN educated in the US and currently relocated to Singapore. I got a job offer from a local hospital there and after submitting all my documents to the Singapore nursing board for a few months, I was told that the application could not be processed due to my lapsed license status in the US. Have anybody encountered such problem while relocating to another country? I am so frustrated now and the only way for me to do is to go back to the US to renew my license. I was told by the nursing board that it would be alright to get a license anywhere even if my license has already lapsed by the time I left the US. I feel so hopeless and helpless now being unemployed and not sure what I can do with a Degree in Nursing any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Singaporean with foreign nursing degree
Hi, I am a Malaysian with US nursing license. I just graduated from nursing school this past May and currently working as a pediatric nurse. I am planning to go back and get closer to my family but I am having the same doubt as you do. I know this is an old post but I would love to know how did it go with your job application in Singapore? Thank you.

I didn't do very well on Kaplan either. My average for the Q bank was 58% my readiness test was 56%. The highest I get for the QT was 66% on QT 6. The lowest score was 51%. It did get better and better each day I took it tho. Just keep practicing I guess. Thanks :)

85 questions in 1.5 hours
I took my NCLEX-RN yesterday at 2pm. I was so nervous that I could barely breathe when I was at the testing center. I had bad insomnia and butterflies in the stomach the night before Did all the Kaplan QT and Q bank questions and stilll wasn't sure if I knew all the stuffs I need to know for NCLEX. I was thinking to reschedule it but I just couldn't wait anymore (I NEED MY LICENSE ASAP). NCLEX was a lot like Kaplan, I would highly recommend everyone to study with Kaplan. I would say NCLEX was easier than Kaplan (but not so sure about the SATA on NCLEX lol). I got approximately 10-15 SATA. But still..... SATA was my weakest area and I freaked out when I kept getting it!! Kaplan helped a lot in knowing all the infection controls, delegation and prioritization. I will be sure to share my study tips if I passed the test. (still waiting for the result) I prayed so my test stop at 75 questions but it didn't so I was kinda anxious at that moment. ******It would be betteer if I expect myself to sit there for 6 hours and complete all 265 questions so i wouldnt be freaking out when it didn't stop at 75. I told myself, hey they are still giving me questions so I am good I am still on the game. I read each question carefully but making sure that I was not overthinking the question like I did for Kaplan. When I was doing question 85 and hit "next" button, the computer "froze" and took me out to the survey page. My heart was pounding like crazy, and I was like.... "what? okay... that it? I got a lot of SATA questions after the 75 questions... I didn't think I do well on those, I think I flung the test.... " I was in shock for the rest of the day 6 hours later when I checked the Pearsonvue Trick it said that my result was on hold. I was dead sure that I failed. I mean, I got a lot of SATA questions that I really had no clue which was the right answer and I was just guessing the answers for each of them. 24 hours later (which is today at 2pm), I checked the pearsonvue trick again and I finally got a "good pop up". I hope this pearson vue trick thing is real like what I have read on the forum. Meanwhile, still waiting for the official result. Pray to God so I passed. I will post the update here. The long wait is indeed torturing. 85 questions in 1.5 hours. Passed or Failed? Still waiting......
