  1. I've been through it and I thoroughly enjoyed the UWB program and campus. Good luck.
  2. With time comes experience and therefore confidence. Quite frankly, I don't see the correlation between top grades equaling poor clinical skills. That's two different things. A strong basis for good clinic skills is sometimes, even most times, having good common sense. Being able to prioritize and being organized are top necessary skills. Without these, I see nurses flounder. Regardless of who got A's in class.
  3. I think it's mixing apples and oranges here and to ask you what is more important is inappropriate. Of course family is more important but it's not a matter of giving up your family for an education. You can have and do both. Sure it takes juggling of schedules but school is temporary and you family is on going. You don't have to choose one over the other. So disregard her comments and focus on your life-both family and school.
  4. Push forward and apply. Sometimes chance is what you make it. In other words, control your own destiny. If your GPA isn't competitive enough to get you into ADN, you can work on raising it. Chemistry by no means is a predictor of how you'll do in nrsg school. We all have had our THORN IN OUR SIDE classes. Mine was statistics. But I got through it because NOT to do so was NOT an option.
  5. Fear nothing. Stay determined and focused and you will succeed. Take anantomy. Then physiology. It all makes sense as you move along.
