  1. Meanwhile in Canada..... The Ontario government introduced wage suppression legislation, Bill 124, just before the pandemic, effectively capping pay for nurses and restricting our bargaining rights that we have as unionized workers. Nurses are retiring and leaving the profession entirely in our province and it is time for change. The shortages are evident in the barebones staffing across the province in hospitals. Signing these petitions will signal to our government that this change needs to happen NOW. Please support and show solidarity.... https://www.change.org/p/ontario-premier-doug-ford-support-ontario-nurses-against-bill-124 https://www.ona.org/bill124/ If you are out of province/country, you can put our leader Doug Ford's riding postal code to get his attention ? -- it is M9V 1A3
  2. The Bridging Service absolutely does not have NPs!
  3. I did final consolidation there on the psychiatry unit. Would never work there. Nurses are uppity and toxic environment.
  4. Where is CAMH are there NPs?

  6. Hi all, I am going to visit for interviews at Vidant in the coming work and I wanted to hear any advice or perspectives on what it is like to work there. I am interviewing with NICU, paeds ER, and SIU. Any advice, information or perspectives?? Also, how is the area of Greenville as a place to live? I am especially interested in finding out more about the crime rate in Greenville, as I've heard it is quite high. I am from Toronto (Canada) and have been blessed with growing up and living in a very safe city. I will not have a vehicle if I re-locate, and I would likely be coming alone. What are the places/neighbourhoods that are safe to live in and which are unsafe/to be avoided? Any places within walking distance to hospital? I've seen "gated communities" which is something I'm unfamiliar with -- is this something I should look into?
  7. to the people who have answered, where are you from? is this a prevalent issue for nurses everywhere? (i'm interested in canadian schools)
