  1. Incorrect. You do not have to be an LVN. She is an LPN already so she will be fine. And yes Excelsior did use to be called Regents. BTW something you may wish to think about. I dont know how it works where you are. But here in florida you are allowed to challenge the paramedic exam if you are an RN and have graduated from an approved EMT program. Not trying to steer you from the medic program or anything. Just food for thought. Your state board can tell you more.
  2. Medic/FF here also. Graduated in March. Total time to complete program 4 1/2 mos. Yes thats right 4 1/2 mos. Medics rock the house when it comes to the practical skills portion (According to one of my CE's) but blow dirt on the nurse care planning aspects. Work on this and you will rule all.... Good luck. And just like the other guy said the chancellors guides are great.
