  1. Im from milford and didn't get into st. vincents. I got my RN at monroe college in the bronx NY. There program runs first year you get your lpn and second year your rn. I was a commuter (45min drive) if your dedicated and want to be a nurse then try this school. It's 20,000 a year. I work with my associates-rn at a methadone clinic in Bpt $30 an hour. Im finishing in 2 weeks at western connecticut state university in there rn-bsn program- very easy program been getting straight A's. KEEP TRYING IT'LL BE WORTH IT IN THE END
  2. I just finished my associates RN at monroe college , WATCH-OUT!!!! this program is NOT ACCREDITED( its accredited by the state which they will tell you, but it needs to be nationally accredited), if you looking to work in a hospital- do not expect find a job when you graduate, almost all hospitals require students to graduate from an NLN or CCNE accredited college. Im currently going to an RN-BSN college that is NLN CCNE accredited- thank- god I'm not making a mistake this time around. Also 20,000 a year LPN year Another 20,000 Associated Rn=$ 40,000 (this college is WAY too expensive) prob cause its for profit

  4. Thank-you TheCommuter. I feel less weight on my shoulders knowing I can get my license in CT. Hopefully I can transfer to an RN-BSN program.
  5. I'm just about to graduate with an ADN from a nursing school in NY. Before entering the program I asked if they were accredited and they said yes. However, (Im now finding out) they're only regionally accredited by the board of nursing in NY (not NLN or CCNE). I live in CT, and wanted to know if I'm going to be stuck in NY forever or will I be able to transfer my license to CT???? Also I haven't taken my NCLEX yet, would the board of nursing in CT allow me to send my info and transcripts to them and just get my license in CT??? I want to further my degree and go to southern CT state university for there BSN-RN, but if i can't transfer my license, I will not be able to attend this university.
