I had my intake appointment yesterday and she told me it would be two weeks before I heard something. So maybe we should hear something before orientation. Sorry couldn't be much help.

I don't know the answer but it doesn't hurt to try. What's the worse they can say, No....

I just scheduled an appointment for testing for the scholarship through worksource. Does anyone have information on this? What does it involve and how long is the test? My appointment is monday. Thanks

Jencarlie, I ordered the Littmann cardiology III stethoscope from steeles.com. I got it for $138 and paid $10 to have engraved. Layne 3, i ordered my blood pressure from allheart.com. However, it was $17. Yours was a little cheaper. Livinthedream , wow, good thing you didnt get the shots. That's scary that we can mess up on the littlest thing and not get in the fall. I should have everything done and handed in by end of week. Had TB test today and go back thursday to have read and pick up all my paperwork. Layne3, I believe you said the tops were not as big as Meridys states. I am a size 18 and was going to order an XL but did you say they were snug? Only thing I have left to do is get skills kit and order uniforms and polos. Can't wait til August 8th and 9th.....

You don't have to worry about flu shot right now because it is out of season. The paper said we will be notified when it is due. Hope this helps.

Has anyone scheduled their drug screen yet? Im trying to schedule appointment and not sure if we choose occupational drug screen or radar (drug screen)? Then it asks why? employment ? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Those that haven't received letters yet, I would say think positive. You may still be accepted or perhaps on waiting list. Hmarie, I am also in day classes and actually looking for a part time job probably in evenings or weekends. My children are all grown up so I won't be using childcare either, sorry. I got fingerprints done today and photo. If you are going to UPS store, they also do the photos and if you tell them your a student and is for school will give discount. It was $8 for the photo. Hi, I'm new to this post. However, I made it into the Fall 2013 fscj nursing program. I wanted to hear from some of you that may have part time jobs. Is it rough to do both, program and work? Any suggestions? Thanks and congrats on your successes.

I felt the same way justdoitright about the flu shot. I volunteer at a hospital so I had the choice of getting flu shot or wearing the mask for 5 months. I heard horrible things about the flu shot and didn't really want to do it. However, I felt it is going to be almost a requirement for me as a nurse, so I did it and got the shot. I was fine. I received the flu shot last October. I had no side effects but a red mark on arm for about 3 weeks. I hope this will help you in making your decision. Good luck.

I was wondering the same thing. Are we supposed to buy the uniforms and also the polos? I have fingerprinting scheduled for next thursday. Now just have to work on physical and shots.... Congrats everyone.. can't wait to meet you all at orientation...

I believe you take your nat test scores and multiply the total by .64 and then you add your grades for the prereqs----A=4 B=3, etc. I hope that helps.

OMG.. I'm in... I did get my letter today... my husband hid it from me to make sure it wasn't a denial because I was heartbroken when UNF told me denied. How sweet.... but I'm so excited..... anyone else???????????

Nicole, I haven't heard anything about letters going out. Looking at prior posts from Fall 2012 FSCJ Nursing they got their letters the first week of July. I would hope they do the same this year. We need time to get physicals, background checks, etc. before orientation. Thanks and good luck to everyone. I keep checking mailbox everyday!!!!

How do you apply with worksource? Is there a website? I don't know if I would qualify. I'm not working, however my husband is but it doesn't hurt to try, right? Good luck to you all. I hope we hear something this week on acceptance.

Hi strial.... sorry about the fall program. I also applied and didn't get accepted and my scores were also above the average for the accepted and waitlisted. The only advice I would have is to keep on trying and apply for th spring program. For the interview, try not to sound reheorificed. I think next time I am going to go in and just be myself. I was probably the oldest in my interview group. Sorry I couldn't help more...

Hi mya4414. I also applied and had UNF interview however i was denied. Although not sure why? I had a 344 on TEAS and 4.0GPA , it must have been all based on interview. Oh well. Hope you made it. I have also applied at FSCJ with a total of 219 points. Hoping to receive an acceptance letter soon. Good luck to you all.
