I am an NP student living in Athens, Ga. My school is having difficulties finding clinical sites for students. The new medical school partnership at UGA has apparently monopolized the rotation sites, making it difficult for NP students to find placement. I thought I would try posting here to see if there are any NPs in the Athens or Atlanta area who would be interested in precepting a student. I m curious if anyone has experience working as an NP abroad. I am currently getting my DNP degree and would love to work internationally when I graduate. I speak some Spanish but am not fluent by any means. Can anyone give me any insight on international opportunities available? Thanks n advance.

Hey everyone. Has anyone had anymore communication with GRU. I got my paperwork for prof of vaccinations. I haven't heard anything else though. Any idea when we will get our schedules?

I do not have the dates written down. Those dates sound correct though. Melby, do you live in Athens? I'll be moving there in June. Now I have to work on getting a job.

Congrats to both of you! I got an acceptance letter in the mail today, but no call. That's strange. Oh we'll. I'm pretty excited.

All of these posts made me think that someone had heard something.

What questions do you have about the curriculum? My interviewer went over it with me. It isn't finalized but she seemed to be sure about what it was going to be. Did you ask about it during your interview? She also gave me her email and told me to email if I had any more questions.

My interview went well. It went over the allotted time and still seemed short. Now all we do is wait. Keep your fingers crossed.

I will be there Thursday and Friday. Does anyone have any idea of what the interview is like? What about class size? It looks like about 100 people will be interviewing, however this is for full time, part time, on campus, online, and BSN - DNP program, so that number doesnt mean much I guess.

I just scheduled mine as well. Looks like there are already a large number of candidates scheduled.

Another week? Looks like I will have less than one week to arrange a trip to NC. Does anyone know if they give you a specific interview day and time or will we be able to pick? I might just buy a flight today and hope it works out.

I have decided that I will be applying to NP school this coming year. I am having trouble deciding how to choose which schools to apply to. I cannot find any statistics on how competative schools are. I meet all of the minimum requirements for programs, but I know that those are just the minimums. I have the luxury of being able to move as well, so location is not a. Huge factor (however I would like to stay in the Southeast). With a 3.35 GPA I don't want to waste money or time applying to schools that I will not get into, but I do want to apply to somewhat competative schools. Any input on where I can find these statistics? I have scoured all of the schools websites and only found a few that show average GPAs. Thanks.
