Hi everyone, I am struggling for 2 years already with getting inside a nursing program. I go to College of the Canyons. I am an International Student from Turkmenistan, and I live in Southern CA as of right now. Also, I have completed all the nursing requirements two years ago, and have been applying ever since then. The problem is, that I did not study that well for the TEAS V test the first time around. Then when I did not pass it I have tried taking the TEAS like 2 more times, but unsuccessfully. :(English is my second language, and I did not do good on reading comprehension on TEAS V test. Then I got the remediation plan from College of the Canyons and I have completed it. Then I took the test again, and I passed it.As of right now, I am on a random selection list for Moorpark and College of the Canyons. Antelope Valley said they will not consider me since I took teas like bunch of times. ( but I did not know) However, some of the other schools don't want to accept my TEAS results since I have taken it more then twice. The thing is that I did not know that you are not supposed to take it more then twice and how bad it is on your record when u apply to other different schools. Moreover, I have applied to two nursing programs in San Francisco and still waiting for them to get back to me. Hopefully, they will accept it. Also, now I am about to take EMT license test, and try to work a little bit as an EMT. Do you guys have any suggestions, on what can I do to get inside the RN program even though I have taken the teas more then twice. I am thinking may be there is something else, i am doing wrong with the applications or anything else. Please guys, give me some ideas. May be some of u had the same situation.
