  4. What's your schedule like? Do you ever feel burnout? If so, how do you deal with that? I volunteered in the ED for a few months once, and saw a few nurses that were kind of apathetic and rude to patients. I didn't know if they were just having a bad day or had a hard time handling stress.

  6. I really want to be an ER nurse. I'm currently in an associate nursing program and would like to know what steps you took to get from an RN to ER nurse, education-wise? Once you've become an ER nurse, are there courses or training that you need to take every so often in order to keep your license? What are some things you like and don't like about being an ER nurse?
