  1. The Davis Success series have great practice questions in them if you want another resource to study. I have used them to study for my exams and they have really helped!
  2. I am still learning and I actually have my assessment this coming Tuesday.. I had trouble hearing it as well and someone told me to not look at the dial, close your eyes and just listen a few times. Once you can recognize the sounds it helps.
  3. Thank you again for all of the help. I was told for perfusion you had to have the right amount of blood and air that reaches the capillaries so I was confused on what exactly it was, but now I have read other sources and with your help I understand it much better.
  4. Thank you everyone for help clearing it up, I was confused by how my professor explained it.
  5. So I am having trouble with this concept and I want to make sure I have it right. Perfusion has to do with the amount of blood and/or O2 reaching the alveoli, whereas diffusion is the ability of the gas exchange to occur at the alveoli such as the surface area available? It seems like they overlap a lot and I am not clear on how to differentiate the two. Thanks in advance for any help.
  6. I appreciate the advice from everyone, I will keep it in mind :)
  7. I start nursing school in August and I would love any tips on how to prepare! Anything I should be reading or any items that you found you just couldn't live without? Thank you for your time and input!
  8. I bought some scrubs, but I have been looking for a good pair of shoes. What kind did you get? I don't know if I want a good pair of nursing shoes or tennis shoes.
  9. Congrats to everyone that found out they got in! How is everyone doing on getting everything done? Anyone get their books and other supplies yet?
  10. Not a problem, I just wanted to let you know so that you weren't stressed to get it all in by the 21st,especially since some things can take a couple of weeks.
  11. Most of the documentation has to be turned in by July 31, your fingerprinting appointment has to be made and the letter turned in by June 21st. Although you need to be working on everything sooner because some of the things take a few weeks to get results. Also, the background has to be done by July 12 I believe.

  13. Hi everyone, I got my acceptance letter as well and I am so excited! Congrats to everyone:)
