NCCU ABSN
Hello, I was wondering if anyone had information on NC Central University's ABSN program. I have looked into the program and in order to be accepted you must take bridge courses at the school as part of your application process. Has anyone taken the bridge courses and been accepted? If so, what is the likelihood of being accepted to the program afterwards? I would hate to take these courses and not be accepted into the program. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Queens University Charlotte vs Carolinas College of Health Sciences
I am wondering if anyone could tell me about Queens University's BSN program or Carolinas College of Health Sciences Associates of Nursing program. I am a second degree student with a BS in Nutrition Science. I have looked into ABSN programs and community college programs, but my GPA is on the lower end of the 3.0 scale, so I feel like I have a better chance of being accepted to one of these programs. Price wise, Carolinas College makes more sense to me, however I would have to do a RN to BSN program later on so Queen's is appealing in that I would finish it all in 2 years. Has anyone attended either of these schools and have any idea which is better overall? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Will a CNA make me a more competitive applicant?
Hi! I am a junior completing my undergrad degree and plan on applying to an ABSN program in NC once I graduate. I am wondering if I should get my CNA license. I am a full time student so I really wouldn't be obtaining it for the money, more for experience and to be a more competitive applicant. My question is, if I am only going to work as a CNA for short periods, such as a summer, is it really worth the money and time I will put into getting it? Basically, will this increase my chances of getting into a nursing program? Thanks in advance for any answers and advice!

How much do non pre req courses matter?
I am currently a nutrition major and want to apply to an absn program after I graduate. I just made a D in organic chemistry 2. I know this isn't a pre requisite for nursing but will this look bad when applying? I could retake it but in the scheme of things it won't affect my GPA too bad and I don't need it for anything but to graduate in my major. I am doing well in my nursing pre reqs and made an A- in the first A+P class.

BSN VS ABSN
Hey everyone! I am a rising sophomore at a 4 year university. I recently decided I would like to go into nursing however my school does not offer the program nor is there one nearby. I would have to transfer to a university that has a BSN program. I won't have all the pre-req's completed to be accepted to a BSN program until next year and even at that point I think I would still have another semester of classes to make up due to transferring. So, my question is should I graduate with a 4 year degree and do an ABSN program or transfer schools and try and get into a BSN program now? Either way it will be about the same time because I am a little behind on my pre-req's. Any advice, thoughts, or tips would be greatly appreciated!
