Hi! I understand now that UIC is changing its GEP program to no longer specialize in any particular field but will offer a generalist MSN similar to what RUSH offers. Other details such as updated prereq's are unknown; however, it is my understanding that the January only start date is obsolete as well (after this GEP January 2014). The first generalist masters program start is fall 2014, and it is unknown if admission is offered at other times of the year or just once per year.

justrunfast985, Thanks for the helpful information. Would you mind elaborating about the amount of time you spent per week studying outside of school? Further, do you or any of your classmates have kids/jobs/other responsibilities, and did the program seem difficult (too difficult) for some? The reason I ask is b/c I have a child, and I am weighing my options. I am torn between pursuing this program down the road but also want to keep my child as a priority. Any information will be helpful.
