I was told today that the contraindication of being in the room while bone cement while pregnant is a myth by supervisors. I have looked at a few websites and am getting mixed reviews. The research seems to be limited. Does anyone have any info on this?

I recently graduated an LVN to ADN program and have been offered two possible paths. One is Med Surg at a rural hospital and the other is a OR residency with a two year sign on. I have almost two years of experience in urgent care as an LVN. My question is if I choose the OR position would I be hindering myself if I decide later I want to switch areas. I know med surg would give me a variety of good experience but it is not where I would like to stay permanently. Any advice would be appreciated.
