  1. The Ohlone College Nursing Program consists of 39 units. The tuition is $45.00 per unit. The cost of tuition alone will be $1755.00. Books for the entire two year program will be approximately $1500. Background check and urine drug screen is approximately $120.00. Nursing lab kit is currently $100.00. Immunizations and CPR certificate can run $500.00 depending upon your health care insurance. Every semester there are set charges: parking, student activity fee, electronic fee access, health service fee. If you are out of state or an international student, student tuition is increased. Adding all costs, the two years in the nursing program at today's price would be approximately $4755. I hope this assists you. Dr. Gale Carli, Dean, Health Sciences, Ohlone College, Fremont, CA
  2. Dear Davh2zz: I would like to respond to your inquiry. I am the Dean of Health Sciences at Ohlone College. A college transcript reflects the grades which were earned in that class. I have never heard that an Ohlone transcript will be awarded another grade at the transferring college or university. Maybe what you have heard is when you earn a B at Ohlone College, it is like earning an A at another college due to the rigor and high standards the college professors adhere to. I would encourage you to speak directly with college officials when these types of questions arise. Students like to be helpful, but a times, incorrect information is exchanged. I wish you every success in your endeavors. Dr. Gale Carli, Dean, Health Sciences, Ohlone College
