Need LVN and RN advice !
I was in a similar situation back 15 years ago and I did the LVN route and I am so glad that I did because it was proof that I love what I do and it made good money for me. Now I am attempting to get through RN school (ADN) and the one thing is the experience I have had as an LVN has been so helpful in my studies and will be for you as well if you do the same. If you need to get done quickly and start your career and make a descent living then my advice is LVN and you can always work towards the RN, being as young as you are you have so much time to do so. It's never to late for that but in the mean time you will be learning and earning!

ARDS vs ARF???
Adult Resp. Distess Syndrome vs Acute Respiratory Failure Can someone tell me how to tell the difference between the two. The only thing I think is something to do with the PaCo2 level? Please help. Thank you.

Broad quest. re:pregnancy, skin ulcers, eye infections
1.Do you tell a 2 y/o your pregnant? Not sure whether it's a good idea and lets her adjust, or wait because she really doesn't have a concept of time, or don't say anthing at all just incase something happened. 2.When pulling/repositioning a patient up in bed what area is more likely to drag and get ulcers? Not sure if the heels, buttocks, or elbows need special attention when doing so? 3.Does anyone know what to expect for treatment with an eye infection post Cataract Surgery? eg.eyepatch, medication such as steroids, special eyedrops??? I look forward to responses and hope to finally get the help that I can't seem to find in my research. Thank you!

Newborn blood testing?
General question. When do newborns have blood drawn....at birth? and then how often after that? Is it done only after birth and as needed if results are abnormal or is there a routine to it.....the following day? 6 week checkup? etc.? I have no idea!!! Thanks
