  1. Hey! Just got accepted for Fall 2013 and our first day is Aug. 26. I would say study the book from the HESI website. I seen the same exact questions and vocab in that book that I seen on the actual test. Just take a little time out and study that book also go to quizlet.com and review previous test questions. Relax before you take the test and you'll do fine. On the A&P and Biology it's mostly general knowledge questions. If you have an idea of the correct answer or know the answers that wouldn't apply just make an educated guess and you'll mostly get it right. The test is timed so make sure you allow enough time for each section or the test will stop. As far as applying yes it's a long and lengthy process so don't wait until the last minute to get things turned in. Just when you think you have everything together you have to turn right back around and get something else lol. But it's all worth it at the end! Make sure you save up some money before you start. During orientation uniforms and the lab bags come out to be around $350-$400. I haven't bought my books yet but I was told for the first semester you have over 12 required books and textbooks aren't cheap! So I'm just telling you what I wish someone would've told me :-). Best of luck!!!
  2. Congrats!!! And anyone else who's reading join in too! Don't be shy introduce yourself :-)
  3. Will anyone be at orientation on July 8th? This is my first semester woooooooooooooo!!!! Lol Any advice? Things to do? Things NOT to do? Thanks in advance!
  4. Congrats everyone! I'm in too!
  5. Lol I've refreshed my email at least 30 times so far ?????
  6. Okay guys its time to start stalking your email!!! Lol Goodluck to everyone!
  7. If its hard with one I can't imagine 2 or more lol. My 4 year old is so needy right now. I need to know at what age do they stop whining and also learn how to wash dishes! Yes don't give up! Keep on pushing! I'm worried about that also. I don't think my rubric score is competitive as it should be. Especially since they extended the deadline. I'm sure everyone who were denied at other programs applied at San Jac. All we can do is keep faith! Goodluck!
  8. Sorry to hear about TWU but I know you'll get in somewhere especially with a rubric score of 26 with San Jac. I believe I have a 19 but I need to double check because I'm not sure of my overall GPA. I'm a bit nervous because San Jac is the only school I applied for. I know it was stupid to put all my eggs in one basket but I'm trying to have faith and stay positive about it. I'm off for the summer also. I ran out of pre reqs to take but it feels so good to just relax and enjoy my daughter for the summer. No kids no boyfriend/husband? Lucky!!! Focus on your studies and enjoying solitude because its much harder when you have a full family to take care! I wouldn't trade them for anything though
  9. How is everyone coming along? The deadline has passed and now it's just a waiting game.. Is anyone nervous as I? Anyone married or have kids? How is everyone enjoying their summer before the storm? I just need to hear from someone in my same situation (waiting for a email that will determine how my life will be for the next 2 years) before I drive myself nuts lol! If someone that is already in the program or graduated from the ADN program reading this please let us know something that you wish someone would have told you before starting? God bless..
  10. 10 days left guys!!!
  11. 12 more days!!! Has anyone heard anything new?
  12. Yep we won't get the accepted/denied emails till the 28th..(about a week after the deadline)
  13. Good luck to everyone! I received a 19 on the rubric score also... But if not here then I'll go through the lvn program at the North Campus. June 28th we'll find out! Let thy will be done.. If its meant for me then I'll be there.. I claim I'll be an RN by 2015 no matter how I get there!
