Seeking feedback: NJ NP programs
To NJnewRN, I called UMDNJ...they are eliminating the 2 year MSN. The deadline for the last fall admission is 06/01/13. Saint Peters is still offering the Adult NP, but that national cert exam will be retired in 2014 according to UMDNJ website, so not sure if it makes sense to enter that school. Not enough time to get through the program and take the exam to be board cert'd. Hopefully they will soon offer the FNP. What other schools have you checked out? Any rising to the top?

Seeking feedback: NJ NP programs
Sorry they're hanging you up like that. I had heard that FDU is not very organized and do not really support the student through practicums. Something I need to consider since I'll be returning to school (have BSN) for the MSN after many, many years. Good Luck...hope you get resolution soon. Thanks!

Seeking feedback: NJ NP programs
I'm having some difficulty deciding among NJ Practitioner programs, some are very costly and I've heard negative comments about certain schools. Currently looking at FDU, StPeters, UMDNJ, WmPaterson and even Dominican (Rockland NY). I'd appreciate any comments as to your experiences with any of these programs either ANP or FNP, their instructors, any support in locating clinical placements, and overall satisfaction/dissatisfaction with your NP program. Thank you!

Should I look for other jobs besides Nursing?
You're the one who made it through all that studying and work. You're the one who is in the 'driver's seat' of your own life. There comes a time to 'peel away' from your mother in terms of making your own decisions...and it seems like that time is here. Remember...there are so many specialties in nursing for you to explore. Exercise your wings!
