  1. I agree with you guys about being upfront about it. However, I did some additional research, and I believe that it's considered a Class C misdemeanor. I went back and referenced the eligibility form that I filled out as part of my application packet and it states "only exclude class c misdemeanors". Seriously. Anyway, I never disclosed that information on my application, but since it's coming up on my background check do you think it'd be in my best interest to come clean? lol I'm really not sure what the TX BON looks at, but I've heard stories of people losing their spots in NS because of past violations. I'd like to believe that my driving record isn't pertinent here, but you just never know. oh, and thank you guys for taking the time to comment. I appreciate it!
  2. I'll be starting nursing school this fall and was curious about my background check, so I hopped online and found a site that will give you a full report for $1. I won't be able to submit this to my school because it clearly states on there that the info CANNOT be used in connection with decisions about consumer credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, ect., but I was fine with that. Ok, honestly, I was more nervous than 'curious'. I've had my share of traffic violations when I was younger (over 5 years ago). And yes, I also conveniently 'forgot' to pay my fines which ultimatly led to the suspension of my license. Yeah, I know, I was an irresponsible moron. But my question is could this potentially get me dismissed from the nursing program? My record shows 'driving while license suspended or revoked' and I'm freaking out. Anyone please?
