  1. Thanks for the response. The interview was with a small clinic. It was my first one so I don't think I was adequately prepared...it definitely could have gone better! It was very hard to read the doctor who was doing the interview, honestly he seemed most concerned with how far I lived from the clinic/had reservations that I would leave as soon as I found something closer.
  2. Hi all - long time lurker here. I wanted to see if anyone else is having a real difficult job landing that first RN job here in Maryland. I graduated from Montgomery College back in May and passed the NCLEX the first time in July. I speak 3 languages and thought that would help differentiate me a bit. I've applied to many openings, everything from clinics and nursing homes to all of the major hospitals from Frederick down to PG county. I had one interview so far and the majority of the hospital applications are still under the 'Applied' status. Very frustrating. I live very close to Shady Grove and did some of my clinicals there and it would be nice to start there just based on commuting times. Has anyone heard back on applications from Shady Grove this summer? Any tips on getting in there/the job hunt in general? I did not realize it would be this difficult to land that first job. I wish everyone else good luck!
