  1. Does anyone know where I could find a list of medications for conscience sedation that RN's are able to push? I work for a small ASC in Pennsylvania and there has been some question on what an RN can and cannot push under the direction of an MD when a CRNA is not available. Thank you for any imput. siobhan :)
  2. Mobeeb, Thank you for the information. You got me the points. Siobhan :)
  3. All, Does anyone know if in the state of PA it is within a RN's scope of practice to push anesthesia meds such as propofol. I am posting this question for my boss so if anyone knows the answer please reply. Thanks for the help. It will gain me some extra points with the boss. :) siobhan
  4. Congratulations to both of you. Good luck on the NCLEX!!!!! :)
  5. I am currently a surgical technician at a small ASC in Lanc, PA. The doctor that I work for was kind enough to let the Clinical director teach me everything that I know. But I reached a point where I felt that I needed a "real" education. So I looked into Surg. Tech school and the waiting list was 2 yrs. However, I decided to go for my LPN. Luckily the facility that I work for can utilize me for both positions with a pay increase when I graduate. Now almost finished with my LPN classes, I have decided to go on for my BSN. So anyway depending on where you are employed or plan to be employed probably would dictate if the facility could use you as an LPN in the O.R.. THe LPN program around here is 1-2yr wait.
