    Hi, I have been a nurse in Brownsville for a little bit over a year. I would like to try travel nursing, but am a bit confused about how the pay works. I have read numerous posts about making $40 per hour, plus free housing, mileage, etc. I have also read numerous posts about taking a much lower rate (less than $20 per hour) to qualify for all of the perks (housing $, etc.). I also noticed that most of the posts are from 2008 and before. Can someone please help me understand the average current rate for a first-time travel nurse in Dallas? Are the stipends and insurance included in the hourly rate that some posters post? I am looking at an agency called Parillion and TruStaff and would like to know what to expect. Thank you.
