Pregnant Student Nurse
In August I will start my first rounds of clinical. I'm also due the first week of September. I am giving serious consideration to returning to school immediately after delivery. This is not my first child and although I am older then I was when I birthed my older children, I healed very quickly. My support team is very helpful and I have care providers already set up. I wanted to know if anyone else has done this and what was their experience like. My husband wants me to sit out a semester but I have worked entirely too hard to get here to just for lack of a better phrase "sit down". Inquiring minds wanna know what do you think???

How long did it take you?
Thank you Applesxoranges I needed that. I'm definitely not quitting. The discouragement I was getting was just really starting to bum me out. My spirits are much better now.

How long did it take you?
Thank you so much!! I see the light at the end of the tunnel but it just looks like from where I am other people's drive is shorter!í ½í¸‚í ½í¸‚í ½í¸‚ I was born to be a nurse and am so excited for my future. I guess I'm getting antsy because it's almost time to apply for clinicals.

How long did it take you?
In all curiosity I was wondering did it take anybody else as long as it is taking me to finish nursing school??? I have failed three classes I have four C's and am currently six classes away from completing my BSN pre-req's all while preparing to go into ASN clinicals. I have been in school 3 years and it has been long and tedious. My heart still beats for it though. Competition is so fierce in Nursing that I am often awestruck with the things some people will say to get one foot ahead of you. Granted I have been out of school 14 years, then I decided to go back. Not to mention I'm a 35 year old mother of four. "Your still trying", "OH you have C's", "Go for your LPN", this is all unwanted advice I was getting from fellow future nurses. I am still steadfast into my career and I have no intention from diverting from my goals. I said all that to ask this "How long did it take YOU?" Am I the only person who feels like I'm running and running and still standing still! I know you have to encourage yourself but today I need a little help.

****HELP*****
I'm applying for Panola College but I have to apply to Texas Board of Nursing first. When I go to the site I am all confused I do not know where the application is I have to submit. Now the problem is I was arrested in 2004 and they say I have to go before the board first before I can even apply for their clinical program. I am freaking out because they said the list is really long and its best to submit it before it is time to apply for clinicals. I am trying to submit my application six months early so that when it is time for me to apply it will be out the way. If you have any experience with this PLEASE help me get thru this. I am 3 classes away from applying and really am trying to get this done without a hitch/hiccup on my end. Please send me any intel you have it will be greatly appreciated!!!!!

BPCC Nursing Student with a "C"
Hi Guys, I am attending BPCC for my ADN. I am freaking out because I made a "C" in A&P 1 and am just wondering is it going to be hard for me to get in clinical with it. I keep hearing all these horror stories about "C's" but am questioning is it really that bad! I have a "B" in Lab and would of had a "B" in lecture but I broke my arm. This is my first set of pre-req's and everyone keeps telling me it's just as bad to retake it, as it is to drop it. I just wants some advice. My school goes on the point system so I don't know if that is in or out of my favor. I know I was designed to be a nurse, my A&P teacher even told me that. I just don't want to be on the losing end when I apply for clinical. Current or past BPCC students advice would be liked but not necessary.
