the good ol' GPA question - what is competitive?
That is very good to hear! Phew! I also have a high GPA in my major (Community Health). It was just all those general university requirements and chemistry courses that really messed my GPA up. Most of my schools require the GRE. I plan on taking it in April and I am going to start studying in September after I graduate. I got your PM btw, thank you so much! I will keep those tips in mind :)

the good ol' GPA question - what is competitive?
Hmmm. That worries me I have a 3.2 cum with a 3.4-3.6 prereq GPA so I am really worried this will hold me back, even with a great essay and great letters. I started college when I was 17 and definitely did not know what I was getting into :) but I went from getting 2.9s to 3.9s and 4.0s during my last two years of college so I hope that is noted. Thanks for your input!

the good ol' GPA question - what is competitive?
I am constantly going back and forth on this. Now, I know that GPA is not only what is looked at in Masters programs and I know it can mean very little when it comes to being a good nurse, but what is considered having a competitive GPA?

Yale GEPN Applicants 2013
So I have read through this entire thread and congratulations to all of you accepted in GEPN 2013!!!!!!!!!! I was even getting nervous reading about the anticipation :) For those who have been accepted, what did your volunteer/healthcare experience look like? I totally agree with who made the earlier comment about YSN looking for people who are more service-minded. That's definitely why I want to go there. I would really appreciate the insight. Congratulations again

do i ask for a recommendation letter for each school?
This might be a weird question but here it goes...So I would like to apply to about 5-7 nursing schools for their masters entry tracks. They all require reference letters and I would like to ask the same people, more or less, to write me a letter or fill out their recommendation forms. Is this common to do? I feel like asking someone to do this 5-7 times for each school is bad. Or is it okay? I just have one professor who would be a great reference and would love to write me a recommendation letter, but some of my schools require a specialized form so I am not sure what to do - should I ask her to fill one out for me AND write a letter? Help!
