  1. Hey guys thanks for your responses. Sorry if my statement about becoming an LVN was offensive. I didnt mean it that way.. I meant it would be the most round about way to become a nurse since I already have a BA degree. I looked at National University today, but they have a minimum GPA of 2.75 to get in, and even if I get a 4.0 on their pre-reqs I would not get my 2.5 up quite high enough. It is looking like a CC would be my best bet unless I can find a cheap private program. Thanks for your help.
  2. Hello there! I am really desiring to become a nurse and eventually a nurse practioner. Unfortunately my GPA in HS (4.4) does not match my GPA at my university where I graduated with a 2.5 GPA from UCSB. I am having a difficult time finding accelerated BSN programs to apply to that would accept my low GPA. It all seems very competitive. I would love a direct entry MSN program but they seem even more competitive. I am willing to do a generic BSN as well. Or even an associates degree at a community college but they seem to all have two year wait lists. Does anyone know if it would be a better option to just become a LVN and then do a LVN to BSN program? Are those easier to get into? Any advice in programs anywhere in the US where I could become a nurse with my GPA?
