  1. Hi Cathyc28! I was actually accepted to both Chamberlain and Nova :-) I decided that Nova was the best fit for me and I am starting on Jan 4th. I'm super excited and know I made the right decision. My GPA is a 3.3.
  2. Wishing you the best Cyant12! I'm sure you will do well =) What campus did you apply to?
  3. Hi Everyone! I am proud and very happy to announce that I was accepted to the Nursing Program at the north campus!!! Yay!!! I am sooo happy beyond words! Lol I thought this day would never arrive! I was notified by email and my VIP page was updated as well :) Wishing everyone the best of luck!
  4. Hi CamiNP, I was at the North Campus, I think you were at the South campus correct? Congratulations on doing well on the exam by the way ;-)
  5. Hi Everyone! So....I had my interview and Kaplan exam today and I feel that I did well. :) We began with the essay, which was super easy in my opinion. Next was the Kaplan...I got a 67 in Math, 75 in Science, 76 in Writing and an 86 in Reading. My overall score was 76%. The test was not that hard, I think my nerves got the best of me while doing the Math section, which was obviously reflected in my score. I recommend trying to stay calm to perform better. You have more than enough time to complete each section. After that, we all had a break and had lunch. At 1:30 we got together again for the tour, then after that the interviews began. We were a group of seven today, and interviews were done one by one, which I preferred over the group interviews. I had two people in the room interviewing me. My advice here is to be yourself and answer all questions honestly and calmly. Let your personality shine through :) We were told to wait about two weeks to receive an answer. I can't wait! Good Luck to everyone!
  6. Hi Jenniferc20! I will be there! I look forward to meeting you there! Best of luck too!
  7. Thanks! Wishing you the best as well Cyant12!
  8. Hi Guys! First of all, congratulations to all of those who have been accepted! :) I have been following this thread since it was created and I'm happy to share with all of you, that I was called on Friday and was invited to sit down for the exam and interview!!! Yay!!! I am so excited and relieved. I've been waiting for this for quite some time. I was taking a nap when I received the call. When I was done talking to the person who called me, I got up from my bed and walked over to my living room, and for a a split second I thought that I had dreamt it! Lol! I actually had to check my caller ID on my phone to make sure. I applied to the Main Campus and my interview is set for Sept 29th. Thanks for all of the support and information that everyone has shared here!
  9. Hi Everyone! I applied to the Nova BSN program for the Fall of 2015 earlier this year, but my transcripts were a bit late to arrive and so I was pushed out to Jan 2016 time frame (which I don't mind at all, because my intentions were to start in January anyway). So now I am waiting... I've also applied at Chamberlain College of Nursing in Miramar. I've already taken the HESI Entrance Exam and received an 82%. I should hear back from them in a week or so to see if I have been accepted. :) I really like both of these schools, but I am having a difficult time deciding on which one to go to (should I be accepted to these programs). I hear great things about Nova & Chamberlain (Miramar), and the passing rates for the NCLEX on both are very good as well. I do live closer to Chamberlain, and the accelerated program is a great option for me as well because I am a mother of 3 kids. So I guess the sooner I finish, the sooner I will get a job to help support my family. I don't plan on working during the time I will be in school, thankfully I have the support of my husband and a flexible side business that will help us through this time. This doesn't mean it won't be easy financially! Nova is a reputable school and I hear great things about Nova's graduate students, such as "Nova nursing students are very well prepared" and I really want that! Chamberlain Miramar campus is relatively new, so it's still building its reputation in the local medical community. I have very little feedback on nurses graduating from here and being hired in local hospitals. I like that Chamberlain has small class sizes and did I mention how close it was to where I lived? However, Nova takes 27 months to complete while Chamberlain will take me just under two years to complete. I am torn...one because I love Nova for many reasons but I also don't think I can put my husband through the extra 6 months of supporting our family alone while I am in school. I want to make the right decision for my career without affecting our family too much. I don't know if finishing "faster" is better than finishing a little later and actually learning everything at a good pace. Ugh! It's very frustrating for me... I am going back and forth on this! Feel free to comment and give me your feedback Thanks and I wish everyone the best of luck in your journey!
