  1. Public Health RN with no G License

    Hello, I am an RN student who will be graduating in a few months from an accelerated nursing program and I am very interested in working in Public Health, in the GTA if possible. I have previous experience working as a student in a Public Health Unit and my extracurriculars are all geared towards this field. However, I will not be able to get my G license for 12 months because I am only getting my G2 this week. Having a G license is a requirement for public health nurses, but I was wondering if anyone knows whether this is an absolute, stringent requirement. With a G2, I am able to drive on 400-series highways and all roads, except between the hours of midnight and 5am. Also, are there positions that you know of for new graduates in the public health realm that are not specifically in public health units (and thus wouldn't require a G license)? Thank you for your help! Q
