  1. did you apply for fall 2014?
  2. Hello mmtangi, are you going for LPN or ADN program? I am currently taking DUnn's class both lab and lecture. . lab exams and quizzes are easy. lecture exams are hard. I recommend reading the chapters at least 5 times before the exam if you have time. At first, i made flashcards, but later on i got tired doing it since there is so much to read and write. Just make sure you read and understand everything. if you need help with something, email him during weekdays, he responds right away. youtube also helped me a lot. you should try that too.
  3. For math: I tried solving all the example problems and did the comprehensive test at least 5 times. For science, I read it at least five times. I tried to make flashcards but I was halfway done. I did the comprehensive test plenty times. And aside from the TEAS reviewer, I also use NLN reviewer for science only. I took NLN last year as well but I didn't have much time to prepare. I passed math and science but not english/vocabulary. I didn't even bother to read the reading comprehension. I did the english and language once. How is the nursing program at Chaminade? and how much lol
  4. You are a hard- working student. I'm sure you'll get in. Me too, I'm not in a hurry. My goal is really to get in for ADN or BSN at UH but if it takes a year or two to wait, I might as well apply for Practical nursing program and work my way up. I heard it is easier to get in at Manoa if you're an LPN. LPN-RN-BSN transition is longer than going straight to ADN/BSN but it is very competitive. I feel hopeless lol.
  5. I got lucky I guess. But I do have a C zoo141. I took it online. I took all my classes online… oh except for Chem 151. I took it in class at HCC (Prof Rubio). I'm going to submit my application soon before april 15 for PRCN program. If I don't get in, I'll apply for ADN and PRCn again next year. And possibly take the class again.
  6. No I didn't go to KCC. I only talked to one of the counselor on the phone. Really, they're only accepting 30-40 students per semester? Is that for ADN program? I took TEAS last year. I got 82.
  7. Yay thanks. I'll take his class this summer. No I did not apply for ADN. I don't think I'll make it with a C. I also talked to a counselor today trying to find out what my chances are. She told me to just give it a try. Maybe I will renew my CNA license too. It's been 4 years since i took the class. I'll take the TEAS exam next week. Good, you're taking the CNA class somewhere else. KCC is more expensive.
  8. Who's your instructor for pharm 203? I am planning to take it this summer. I like open notes and Online as well. Ya, you should try. Prof H. Kae from LCC is really good. Lots of extra points and very organize. My CNA license expired a year ago. But the counselor told me "it's Ok" as long as I have CNA experience within the last 3 years.
  9. I took micro last summer at LCC. It was an easy A. Open books/ notes during exam. Are you done with pharm 203? I'm taking it this summer at windward if KCC won't offer the online class.
  10. Kayla, I won't recommend taking zoology this summer. It's too much too take for a short period of time.. I'm retaking it as well this coming fall. Im currently taking zoo 142 and lab online at KCC. Hope to get a good grade. Good luck to you. Lucky you don't have any C. i have one. definitely going to take it again.
  11. Hi, I want to know what my chances are of getting in to KCC ADN or PRCN program. Co-req are all A's and pre-req 3 B's and a C. I know i need to retake these classes!!! Anyway, I got 82 for TEAS. And I'm going to retake it in March to get a higher score. Though my grades are very disappointing, I'm still going to apply this fall for both ADN and PRCN program. For those of you who got in to the program, do you have all A's? no B's at all? Thanks! Jane
  12. I'm still waiting for the result of my NLN.. Wow your Math is really high.. I have 2 B's.. I still have to take Micro 130 this fall, so I guess I'm going to apply for fall 2014..
  13. @aznoobyboy Oh really.. I took it about 3 years ago. What was your nLN score? did you have any B's?
  14. @aznoobyboy Yay!! good for you!
  15. @Staunch Thank you! I'll check it out. Yes, I'm going to take NLN again in September. Do you think CNA experience would help? I worked for at least 2 years as a CNA.. My licensed is expired now as I decided to be a full time student.
